May 9 will be a solemn celebration of the Victory Day. The Bright People company has prepared a rich program for this event. The founder of the agency Maria Galperina tells us how it will be held on May 8 and 9 in Moscow this year.
Maria, that the Bright People team prepared for the city in honor of May 9 and how it will differ from the format of the holiday of previous years?
Victory Day is a powerful and important event for the whole country. It is also a memory of the past and, at the same time, a reminder of the progress. We faced a challenge of showing the entire era in two days - on May 8 and 9. To achieve the full effect of immersion in the atmosphere, we have included in the program different areas of art, focusing on musical performances.
What program will your theater groups perform? Where?
We continue to embody the idea of interactive productions.
Immersive and classical theaters will present performances in which veterans of WWII and residents of the capital will be able to participate.
For visual design thematic art objects will be installed on the main streets.
In total, within one day we will present 30 hours of interactive musical performances on the Revolution Square, Rozhdestvenka, Kamergersky Lane and New Arbat.
Maria, tell us more about what the performances will be about.
In each of the performances we want to show the main stages of the Great Patriotic War, as well as acting sketches and compositions based on stories taken from front-line letters.
For example, theater «Rupor» will present the production "Moscow apartments. Sounds of the Times".
This is both a theatrical and exhibition project, where spectators will be able to see household items and the furnishings of flats of different periods of the 20th century, as well as this unique musical performance. At different times not only different music was played, but the sounds differed from each other - the horn of a locomotive or the sound of a departing tram. In apartments there will be also the inhabitants - actors – who create atmosphere, reviving each of locations with choreography and dialogs.
The progress of interactive technologies has not bypassed the concept of May 9 this year, Moscow is about to see a very atmospheric immersion in the history of military events that will remind of the great values of our country and the life of the person as a whole.
