As the Department of Information and Press of the Ministry reports, the parties discussed the developments in and around Syria, focusing on the launching of sustainable talks in Geneva between the Syrian Government and the opposition under the UN auspices and in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254. They expressed a shared opinion on the need for a representative participation of Kurdish representatives in the inter-Syrian talks.
Earlier he had a meeting with leader of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party Salih Muslim. TASS pointed: «Kurds’ participation in the talks on the settlement of the Syrian conflict will make it possible to avoid disruption of the peace process, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday after a meeting between Bogdanov and Muslim.
Moscow believes that this is a major tool to render sustainability to the intra-Syrian negotiating process and to avoid its disruption in future, the ministry said.
