It is said that the Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of the Central MD Colonel General Alexander Dvornikov, senior navigator and test pilot of the 929th State flight testing center Colonel Viktor Romanov, Deputy Commander of an Air Squadron of the 47th mixed regiment of the 6th Air Force and Air Defence Army Major Andrei Diyachnko, specialist of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Colonel Vadim Baykulov received from the President awards – the Gold Star of the Hero of Russia – in the St. George Hall on March 17.
Order of Saint George was awarded to the Chief of Staff – the First Deputy Commander of the Western MD 1st Tank Army Yuri Yarovitsky.
