The North Atlantic Treaty Organization will hold an ambassadorial meeting with Russia in the next two weeks, restarting high level dialogue that has largely been stalled since Moscow annexed Crimea two years ago, The Wall Street Journal informs.

“We will discuss military activities, with particular focus on transparency and risk reduction,” a press release by NATO said.

According to The Moscow Times, other topics for discussion will be the Ukrainian crisis, the security situation in Afghanistan and regional terrorist threats.

Russia and NATO last convened in June 2014 after NATO decided to break off all contact with Russia, when Viktor Yanukovych was ousted as Ukraine’s president during the Euromaidan riots.
